Abstract

Preventive dentistry has emerged as a cornerstone of modern oral healthcare, focusing on the prevention of oral diseases rather than their treatment at advanced stages. With increasing awareness of the link between oral health and systemic well-being, preventive strategies have evolved to incorporate evidence-based clinical practices, patientcentered care, and innovative technologies. This manuscript explores recent advances in preventive dentistry, highlighting contemporary clinical strategies aimed at achieving long-term oral health. Key areas discussed include risk assessment, oral hygiene practices, fluoride therapy, dietary counseling, minimally invasive dentistry, behavioral interventions, and the integration of digital tools in preventive care. Emphasis is placed on individualized prevention plans, early disease detection, and interdisciplinary collaboration. By adopting comprehensive preventive approaches, dental professionals can significantly reduce the burden of oral diseases, enhance patient quality of life, and promote sustainable oral healthcare outcomes.
