Abstract

Oral health is an essential component of overall health and well-being, yet it is often neglected in public health planning and individual health practices. Oral diseases such as dental caries, periodontal diseases, and oral infections remain highly prevalent and largely preventable. Oral health awareness plays a critical role in reducing the burden of these conditions and promoting healthier communities. This manuscript explores the significance of oral health awareness in public health promotion, highlighting its impact on disease prevention, health behavior modification, and quality of life. It discusses the relationship between oral health and systemic health, the importance of education and community engagement, and the role of healthcare professionals and policymakers in advancing oral health awareness. Strengthening oral health awareness through integrated public health strategies can contribute to improved health outcomes and reduced healthcare disparities.
